The Real Meaning Behind "Wilson Bank & Trust"

We would like to share with you about the name Wilson Bank & Trust.

We are given many things in life – one of which is so important … our name. Our parents spend much time deciding upon names for their children. They must be sure it is a name they can use the rest of their life. They must choose a name that would represent their family heritage; a name representing character and honor and most importantly a name that won’t bring shame and dishonor to the family.

Our organizers, back in 1986, decided upon the name Wilson Bank & Trust because of many reasons.

The word "Wilson" was picked first because it represents the entire county. We wanted the bank to be a financial institution for all of the people of Wilson County. A bank that would provide quality service which meets customers banking needs.

Next the word "Bank" was added. We wanted our financial institution to be a special bank. Our goal was to be the home-owned bank of Wilson County concerned about our community and it’s quality of life.

"Trust" was the third and last word included in our name. Trust represents a safe and sound financial institution. We have taken this trust very seriously having only people of high character and morals associated with our bank. We strive to be a bank you can always trust and depend on. We want all our customers to know their deposits are safe with Wilson Bank & Trust.

We take even greater pride in being home-owned and knowing our customers on a one-to-one basis. We believe making our decisions locally is of great importance. You deal with friends at our bank. People you know, people you trust.
